1895 isn't 1948, and did you notice that you stated that what people do is more revealing than what they say but followed that up not with an account of actions but with a quote from someone?

Deir Yassin is a direct consequence of Plan Dalet, but that doesn't mean it was the intent. It is a common way in which Plan Dalet intent goes wrong, so you need additional information to decide whether it was intent or the type of excess brutality that tends to happen when you throw around a lot of talk about enemy and our rights to the land, and not a lot of talk about us all being humans and seeking mutually beneficial arrangements whenever possible.

If that was the intended policy, it seems odd that Deir Yassin stands out enough to be worth mentioning.
