And yet you wrote an article attacking a particular idea for sports regulations, and suggested alternate regulations. You do it yet again in the paragraph that follows the one quoted above.

If you're not willing to accept a minimal level of intellectual responsibility for the topics you're talking about, but don't trust any non-trans people to properly advocate for a trans viewpoint, you can leave the entire debate to trans people who are enthusiastic about sports and do know what they're talking about.

The problem with wading into an area that you're ignorant of is that there may be accepted underlying complexity, including entrenched historical decisions that are arbitrary, that your opinion blunders through like a bull in a china shop.

If you're talking about some ideal Athletics and Sports 2.0, re-imagined from the ground up, sure. Otherwise, everyone else is talking about how things actually are.
