Are you certain what you're doing is actually calling out people who are reacting in an unfortunate way when the world doesn't conform to their particular ideology? Instead of calling out those who you view as traitors to your tribe?

In every case--Musk, Greenwald, Snowden, Assange--you had people who were not on the "far left" before, who for various reasons became disillusioned with the left or behavior of those on the left (let's set aside whether this was justified) and re-aligned themselves to in some way oppose what they'd become disillusioned with.

Explaining this as people on the far left fighting the last war seems a poor explanation indeed, and saying that they sound like the alt-right also isn't very accurate. Is Snowden saying to ban books? Was Greenwald a cheerleader for Bolsonaro? Does Musk want to block all immigration to the United States and establish a white ethnostate?

Were "far-leftists" really flocking in droves to Trump? People were voting for AOC and Trump? Berkeley, California has a reputation, not entirely undeserved as the leftest left part of the country, to the point where people sometimes mockingly call it "The People's Republic of Berkeley". In Berkeley, Trump finished third. Behind Jill Stein. (Documentation: https://www.berkeleydailyplanet.com/issue/2016-11-25/article/45173) Are you really sure that you're talking about the far left?

It seems like something rather different is going on.
