But it's not epistemic. The correlation structure is ontologically there. Our learning of it is epistemic.

You cannot have a reproducible epistemology that identifies correlations where none exist, save by mutual agreement (or miracle).

So if you deny these, I see no reason to say that any property of "microphysics", whatever "microphysics" is, isn't an epistemic interpretation with no ontological basis.
