That wasn't even the ask Simon was making, but those were your words. I'm only referencing the past because you did.

If instead you want to talk impact of patriarchy, then it's highly informative to look at other countries with different degrees of patriarchy to check whether the phenomena you care about correlate substantially with patriarchy.

Which is really hard to do when you won't give a definition.

I actually honestly do not know what you're talking about. Is it the violence-enforced hegemonic hierarchical structure, which needn't have anything to do with men, that Elle Beau loves to talk about? Is it literally the idea that men are the head of the family and the important descent is through the male line? Is it men being in positions of power of whatever sort they are with women excluded? All three? Some mixture?

If you don't see substantive engagement, it's because you're giving me no substance here, just a cloud of smoke drifting around actual problems.
