But this isn't, actually, the liberal position. This is the illiberal progressive position: identity groups are important and individuals are not; power relations are important and objectivity is not. Liberals who are actually liberal don't fundamentally agree, but the left wing has been swayed sufficiently by the moral dogmatism of the illiberal progressive (much like the right wing has been swayed by the moral dogmatism of the religious right) so that this does tend to be how things come out. So, left: yes. Liberal: no.
