Creating space to fight society as a whole might, very reasonably, induce society as a whole to fight back.
This outlook is a fundamentally regressive and primitive one; in desperation one might need to reach for it when nothing else comes to hand, but you really need to be finding mutual benefit as much as possible.
This both makes change easier, because more people benefit, and leaves everyone better off.
And using "fight society as a whole" as code for "work together for mutual benefit" is too great a warping of conventional meaning to be a good idea.
