Do you ever wonder, if Israel's actions are all excuses, why Hamas never just calls their bluff?
Like, "Hey, come in and inspect the hospital! No tunnels here!"
It's almost like Hamas wants to fight around hospitals so that Israel will be blamed for fighting around hospitals.
This isn't to say that Israel doesn't try to excuse outrageously inhumane conduct, but rather that a lot of the excuses actually aren't excuses but a straightforward description of the nature of a headlong rapid assault on an organization deeply embedded amidst a civilian population which adopts terrorist tactics.
There's the meta-question of whether the Israeli strategy is correct (I'm going with NOT AT ALL!!!!), but any evaluation of what Israel is doing without an evaluation of what Hamas is also doing isn't going to give enough of a picture to conclude anything worthwhile at all.
