Everything past your second paragraph is you being devil's antagonist (though the third paragraph is technically true, it wasn't phrased that way, and everything after it is based on an assumption of bad faith).

It's one plausible interpretation, but only one, and one of the worst that is even plausible. Good for flame wars with opposite-side trolls, bad for most everything else.
