Firstly, 40,000 is not "such an exact number". It means "4ish"*"ten thousand".

Secondly, the Gaza health ministry has been publishing names and other details of people confirmed killed, and has been for many months, and there are also stories about individual deaths that list names, so "no names are ever listed" just isn't correct.

The situation in Sudan is absolutely tragic and horrific, but if you're going to compare to Gaza it's good to be accurate.
