Good grief, this is tedious.

You keep telling me that I don't understand things that I understood ages ago, and keep failing to even address things you don't understand.

You say there's a "collective build-up". I have asked you repeatedly about how this "collective build-up" works. You tell me about boys and girls, about politicians.

Talk about gravity and stars. There are a gazillion stars at positions (x1, y1, z1), (x2, y2, z2), ..., (xN, yN, zN) with respect to the galactic center. The stars have masses m1, m2, ..., mN. The distances are r1 = sqrt(x1^2 + y1^2 + z1^2), ..., rN = sqrt(xN^2 + yN^2 + zN^2) in Euclidean space, which is a very good approximation if you're not extremely close to an extremely large mass.

Say something about the collective force from the stars! Say something about the gravitational potential from them!

Model A says you add up all the potentials. Each one is G*mi/ri. All together you get G*(m1/r1 + m2/r2 + ... + mN/rN). Suuper easy. Want the force? Take the gradient. Also easy!

Model B says...what? The same thing? Maybe parameterized differently? Except the boringly flat gravitational potential at the galactic center due to the galaxy's stars suddenly produces extraordinarily astounding phenomena, unlike equally boring, similarly-shaped potentials all over the galaxy because...why? Or, the potential is amazingly deep and rapidly changing IN CONTRAST TO MODEL A, how? And why? And why only there, and nowhere else?

It's not gravity? It's not potential? It's not mass? Well then what is it? Can we understand it at all? Or do we just see something that we can predict extremely well and throw that away and go, "ooh, maybe this bit is tooootally different from everything else"!

Your mayor/city analogy fails because you say there isn't a mayor at all, just the collective action of the political elite (or the voters, maybe). There literally is no mayor; things just happen like there is a mayor, including press conferences with the "mayor" there. But there isn't a mayor!

I have a model for you: physics works exactly like we think, except you are the product of collective forces from the Andromeda galaxy. There is no actual matter where "you" are. It's all collective action from Andromeda, just like the war in Iraq was collective action from the United States (and allies). Everything else about physics and biology is the same. But you're generated by the collective action of Andromeda. Let's write a paper, shall we! It will be revolutionary!

While we're at it, we can write a paper about how earthquakes are caused by the collective pulling force from Argentine ants. All physics is exactly the same, it's just that earth scientists do not consider the collective, so they talk about things like strain and so on instead of ants. Also revolutionary! We should start writing!

And butterflies have eye-spots on their wings because they see with their wings due to the collective action of the concentric circles made from the tiny scales on their wings. All biology and neuroscience is the same, they can just see with their wings due to the structure of collective action. They use these eyes to navigate while migrating. Butterfly migration is solved! Let's write a paper!

Or maybe let's not.
