How do you know if the way you envision the interactions working is the key consideration for all sports? Dina didn't say anything that denies that various factors can interact.
Boxing isn't Judo isn't pole vault isn't fencing isn't table tennis isn't the 5000m isn't 100m butterfly isn't basketball isn't shotput isn't the squat.
Dina's point was that there isn't enough research to understand the impact on such widely varied physical activities. I don't see how talking about generic "interactions" isn't just taking a simpler view than Dina already did.
It might turn out the way you think--but how would we learn if we don't study it? It's really not studied very well.
