How is it not a colorblind approach when you expect everyone to be able to achieve the same things, and tell them so? Of course everyone is different when it comes to what challenges they have--but are you picking what they need because of what they need, or because of their skin color? If the latter, it's not colorblind. If the former, it is. If it's both--I see you're black and I hear how you talk so I'm gonna give you the codeswitching talk--then it's not colorblind.
