I am glad you are happy!

But people who have read both books, and a variety of others besides (e.g. the Bhagavad Gita and the Confucian Analects)--or who have read none of those but have read texts that compare the great religions and beliefs of the world--may wonder:

1. Given the commonality of the call to various higher morals independent of monotheism, do you view the positive moral outlook of these books to have anything to do with divinity? If so, why?

2. Given that the texts that contain such lovely sentiments also contain vicious and ugly ones, why should we judge them by their best parts and not by their worst? Or as a whole?
