I ask about Dr. Tate because Dr. Tate wrote an article, together with Dr. Gloria Ladson-Billings, on Critical Race Theory in Education, specifically advancing the ideas of CRT into the sphere of education. So you can't really say it's "not in education"; people have explicitly advocated the use of the ideas in evaluating educational outcomes etc. (https://www.unco.edu/education-behavioral-sciences/pdf/TowardaCRTEduca.pdf).

And you said that teaching CRT in K-12 was obviously a false narrative. Except that quote was for a K-12 ethnic studies curriculum (care to guess which grade?), so it would be pretty important to know whether it is close enough to count as CRT. Because if it is close enough, then it's in fact correct (or at least acceptable) to say that at least some schools are at least trying to teach CRT as part of their curriculum.
