I don't think it's "liberalism" at the point where these issues come to the fore: it is profoundly illiberal.

Among liberalism's central ideals are reason and argument over status (gone), everyone as an equally valuable individual (gone), an embrace of viewpoint diversity (gone), and consensus-building such as democracy to decide on action (gone).

It is born of liberalism, but it is no longer liberal.
