I don't think wisdom is a well-defined characteristic. It's something like having simultaneously good models of how things actually work and good goals to apply them to,, with the definition of "good" left sufficiently vague so that we can nod in sincere agreement when it feels like it matches.
I agree that Kant wasn't dismissive, though I think his idealism was a dead end. I just don't think he's terribly relevant either way when it comes to what I'm talking about here: neither a disaster nor a savior.
