Also, the premise that nobody would help is, I think, at best very context-dependent. So even if you carry the disjunction all the way through, given the above, women dispositionally hate everyone too (unless you have solid evidence that they intervene considerably more--I can't find any), so the point is being made about humans while saying "men", which is divisive and unhelpful.
