I freely admit that, although I have plenty of knowledge of WW2 to conduct a conversation at this level of detail, WW2 history is not very high on my list of things that I find fun to talk about and it is some effort to check myself because, yes, it's not my area of expertise and I want to make sure I don't make mistakes.

That doesn't stop me if the topic is relevant, but here it's insufficiently relevant to the original point.
