I get everything else you say--makes sense--but I don't get the ANTIFA link. Are Proud Boys unusually obsessed with ANTIFA? The degree of power ANTIFA exerts to counter "full political power" is barely a rounding error.
When it comes to actually opposing Proud Boys at the scale they really are (i.e. not big), ANTIFA can hope to be an effective foil. But I don't understand why, in this context, ANTIFA matters at all. On the scale of political power, both ANTIFA and Proud Boys are small fry--trying to achieve an outsized impact by careful selection of what they do, but small fry nonetheless.
(This is not to say they should be ignored. A small wound can fester and get infected, so to speak.)
