I love this definition of woke! I'd go for this! But it bears only minimal resemblance to how people who self-identify as woke actually act, and even less to the associated cultural phenomenon that isn't exactly this but has no name so gets called "woke" anyway because we need a name.

Most crucially, people who are "woke" seem extremely willing to confuse dream and reality, when in fact the call ought to be to do exactly the opposite.

Very poetic description, though! I guess with adequate gatekeeping, the term could be that. But we need a broader term for the left-of-progressive left, and we need enough gatekeeping to keep the usage pure on the left.
