I pretty much agree. The one part I don't understand is why you (seem to) think it's kids that are driving this rather than sensing and adopting the moral judgments delivered to them by part of society relevant to them?

It's very peculiar, isn't it, that this generation just happens to pick this up right when the accepted wisdom of the segment of society they're most heavily exposed to is...just what they're picking up.

(This isn't a judgment about whether it's a good development or a bad one, just about what is causal.)
