I see the logic if you assume that racism is a big threat: then, yes, they are at greater risk, and if you’re not willing to protect them, that action too is racist.

But I also see the logic if you assume racism is irrelevant: then, no, they’re at typical risk, and demanding it when others don’t receive it is selfish and withholding it is merely fair.

So then we have to go back and ask two questions.

First, a question about reality: is Meghan actually in greater danger due to racism? Is Beyonce in greater danger than Taylor Swift? Is Halle Berry in greater danger than Cameron Diaz? Or how should we judge?

Second, a question about evidence: what could we use to demonstrate the reality of the situation to someone who has the opposite point of view?

If the reality is clear, and demonstrable evidence is readily at hand, it’s a very different picture from “opinions may differ”.
