I think you're right that most of the outcry has been based on a complete lack of understanding. It's definitely worth pointing out.

However, this should not prevent us from tackling Lattanzi's well-informed perspective, nor should it lead us to believe that the concerns he outlines plays no role whatsoever in the outcry.

As to where it's being taught, well, for what class do you think the curriculum is supposed to lead the students to do this:

Identify the motivations, tools, and implications of power, authority, and governance as it relates to systems of oppression and its impact on ethnic and religious groups and other historically marginalized groups.

That alone isn't exactly CRT, but don't you think it's getting kinda close?
