I thought it was an appropriate counterbalance to your flavor text in the intro, which includes all the following statements:

"Empires will topple"

"When you’ve spent your life being nice to your own detriment, being mean feels like the ultimate aspiration"

"I relish this. I am filing my nails into points as I compose this."

"I’m ready to step into this new phase in my life and wreak havoc in all the ways I was told not to. And as loudly as possible."

You also explain, in multiple places, that you aren't taking that terribly literally. But you don't explain why not. There is no narrative of "here's why you don't want to take this particularly far". Indeed, I can't even tell how far you support taking it, and I observe that there are people already way past the optimum who don't need more encouragement.
