I would have thought that several watts per square meter (counting both CO2 and increased humidity) of net energy flux would count as "fundamental".

Did you notice that you didn't cite any support for this claim at all?

There are a variety of IPCC reports to choose from. Why don't you cite something?

Also--the urban heat island thing you cited talks about the effects on people in that heat island. It doesn't mention what the magnitude of the effect is for the global climate. (Because it is small.)
