I write on Medium mostly for dialogue, and occasionally to educate (when I think I know enough).

I write fiction for a fourth reason, though: to entertain myself and others. It's not to simply express the thoughts, or to educate, or engage in dialog. I just think some things are fun to think about, and would like to have the option of sharing the fun with someone who has congruent proclivities.
