If you have a good FAQ-equivalent, you can be an orca to those sealioning. With an established issue, sealioning is one of the least troublesome forms of trolling. People end up looking patently absurd after mere seconds of effort to debate them, because you provide resources and they carry on as if they haven't read them (because they haven't).
It's only a problem in areas of substantial novelty where you can't shift the bulk of the work to them.
