I'm not sure how to precisely define wisdom without either being able to point science at it, or having to postulate things that may well be fantasy.

I grant that Kant wasn't specifically after advancing science, and that's fine. I'm not explaining that there's a problem with Kant. I'm explaining why I didn't bother to talk about him.

I wasn't writing about wisdom, or about human endeavors in general. Just about how some philosophers seem unreasonably bad at understanding science. And, as I've explained, I don't think Kant is terribly relevant either way.
