I'm not sure which Critical Theorists you're talking about. They certainly weren't a homogeneous bunch historically, and as time went on their intellectual heirs only got more diverse.
Critical Race Theorists, who are the most talked-about descendants currently, vary widely in their outlook, too. But most of the original ones were working in law and most did not, despite Critical Theory's admonition to question every aspect of society, soundly reject their own field and the Western idea of laws.
