In your first formulation, because you make the first premise so strong, you can make premise 7 much weaker to the point where it isn't all that contentious: if one group has all knowledge of something and another has less, in cases of disagreement it is the group that has less that is wrong.

In your second formulation, you do need premise 7 (now 4) to be as strong as you state it.
