Isn't it even more tiresome to have the same battles with the same lack of information day after day, year after year, with no progress because nobody bothers even trying to educate the other?

I would think so.

It's not that hard to keep a citation handy.

It IS hard to want to have a meaningful engagement, to educate rather than humiliate, to build common ground and common understanding instead of burning bridges. But from where else will progress come?

Just include a citation. It's worth it.
