It is perplexing that you called out Kendi, who is a historian and not a (traditional) Critical Race Theorist, and Black Lives Matter, which isn't (traditional) Critical Race Theory at all, as evidence for teaching CRT when a piece by Kimberle Crenshaw who was one of the seminal founders of Critical Race Theory is on the syllabus!

This doesn't make you wrong, but one does wonder whether you know what you're talking about.

If you're using "CRT" to mean "anti-racism" of a particular flavor, that does seem to be a somewhat common usage now, but it's good to explain that for clarity especially when you're exclaiming in exasperation that people say "But it's NOT CRT!". It's easy to define terms, and if you're going to say anything in this space you at least ought to know that what gets called CRT is a matter of dispute. Or, in this case, you could just highlight the author who has impeccable 100% gold standard original authoritative Critical Race Theory credentials.
