It's a feature of bubbles, pretty much regardless of who is inside it. Even groups that self-style themselves as embracing critique (e.g. critical theorists) tend to stop accepting well-reasoned critique once they bubble themselves.

Because not all feminists are inside bubbles, I wouldn't necessarily expect that the point wouldn't be thought through, however. (That the typical exposure would be through my reply buried in Medium somewhere would surprise me greatly, though!)
