No, in every one of my examples the problem is not the nuance, context, explanation, or any of that.
In two of the three cases, it's a very straightforward case of making very plainly obvious statements that belittle others' concerns instead of addressing them.
In the third case, the supporters did what they plainly said not what they claimed the nuanced view meant--the simplest interpretation of which is that there wasn't actually ever any background, nuance, etc., needed. Democrats claimed it wasn't what it looked like, but it was.
