No, you do not have the moral right to believe things that cause you to act immorally, because your beliefs lead to actions. Even recklessness without intent to harm can be immoral, and it is no less true of recklessness in thought than recklessness of action.

If you can divorce your belief from any action, then sure, believe whatever you want.
