No, you just added the "conscious choice" part yourself right now. I said no such thing.

You made a claim that could only be true if it is the case that if everyone actually treated others like individuals, it would instantly fix everything. My whole point was that this is naive. (I.e. it is wrong.)

My point was that even if people actually treated others like individuals, only some things get fixed instantly. A lot don't, and I gave examples of the things that don't.

(I do agree, however, that we seem to use rather different approaches to thinking about things.)
