Have you seen what the hepatitis C drug goes for? You can make SO much money with a cure.

Of course, if you already are making lots of money off of treatments, you might not be very inclined to undercut your own business. But that's why we have more than one business. (And why we have a drug that cures hepatitis C. And why it is insanely expensive.)
