So if we can't use Macho because of the positive connotations it can carry, but we can use Man, then you are arguing that Man (in the "Act-Like-a-Man" sense) doesn't have positive connotations including honor, sincerity, pride, humility, and responsibility.

(Of course I know what the connotations of Macho are. That's exactly why I suggested it.)
