Something which "is there"

but doesn't show up in any tests

and isn't perceived by the person who supposedly has it

is postulated using a style of thinking that has repeatedly been shown to give bad results

and has no evidence for it at all, actually

sounds suspiciously like an invisible friend. I'm not entirely sure why Jukes is such good friends with this idea, but I'm not sure that the rest of us should humor him.

If the claim was merely that some degree of enmity was widespread, then we could talk about how widespread, and at what level of severity.

But as you've related it, at least, it seems...highly implausible, to say the least.
