Sorry for so many comments--but doesn't this disprove (A), which you heartily endorse, "if a black person thinks it's racist, it's racist" (because they ran the algorithm)?

I don't see how you can simultaneously believe the quoted text and believe (A). This is an argument for why it has to be at least partly (B).

Did you mean to make this whole statement more conditional? That is, the mind is an associative engine so it could do any of these things? Because the mind is also very flexible and can avoid doing a lot of things that it might automatically do if one is careless in how one applies it.
