Technically, DiAngelo is a professor of "Whiteness studies", not CRT. She also lists Critical Discourse Analysis among her key specialites (also not CRT, though it is in the Critical X family).
It's not that the areas haven't been influenced by CRT; they have. But Whiteness studies has gone way off on its own path.
If you fully accept Rufo's rebranding of everything as CRT, well, yeah, of course it's CRT. But, you know, we don't consider Christianity "Judaism"...and from what I've read so far, Whiteness studies has a more tenuous link to CRT than that.
(Edit: it’s worth noting that Delgado and Stefancic in Critical Race Theory: an Introduction still claim whiteness studies as part of the CRT family of inquiry.)
