That doesn't answer the question.

You heard about a topic, and chose to listen to something about it on NPR. Some portion of the topic seemed iffy to you. Is that because the topic itself is iffy or NPR's reporting on it is iffy?

Or are you just explaining your own cognitive journey, making no claims about it being a sensible journey? ("I thought meatloaf might be really tasty, and was going to learn about how to bake meatloaf, but the chef sounded like my old middle school history teacher, who I hated, so I decided that meatloaf isn't my kind of food.")
