That was a historical problem that was largely fixed in Western democracies. This isn't to say that there aren't other parts of the world that need work on this, and it's not to say that there aren't things to work on like occasional lingering suspicions that maybe they're not quite as good because they're a woman. But the degree of exaggeration is unhealthy.
