The charge is quite absurd--Original Philosophy has some of the most thoughtful and well-written content on Medium.
I might personally think a lot of it is wrong, misguided, short-sighted, biased, poorly-reasoned, fundamentally indistinguishable from nihilism, etc. etc., but it is all those things in interesting ways, and ways which are, for the most part, worth talking about.
Even if largely wrong, John Stuart Mill should be proud.
I would challenge the writer with the opposite claim: if a platform does not admit and embrace content of the style of Original Philosophy, then for the most part people would be better off going outside and chatting with friends rather than spending time on that platform.
