The context for the Clinton quote doesn't make it any better--it just shows that it wasn't a slip of the tongue. Writing off a quarter of the voters as "irredeemable" is the problem, not context that makes it all okay. That's not bad messaging, that's bad attitude.

The context for the McAuliffe quote also doesn't make it particularly better, because again, the point is a denial of parents' interest in the education of their own kids--yes, he cites potentially destructive behavior as motivation, but he doesn't address that it's very reasonable for parents to have an interest. Again, bad attitude, not bad messaging.

And you didn't even respond to my criticism of Defund the Police, which was that actions speak louder than words, and there have been actions, and at least as far as I can tell, it's been what it sounds like superficially.

I think we're going around in circles at this point, though.
