The even more ironic thing is that if you center yourself firmly amidst progressives (either by inhabiting that space online, or moving to a locality where a left-wing-activist perspective is the accepted norm), you can do it too, as long as you keep track of where the "progressive boat" is going, who has the least power to influence a progressive agenda, and who is the vocally dominant group.

You see a lot of that on Medium too. Probably a lot more than the type you were (unironically) referencing.

It's hard indeed to find a path towards thought-provoking, well-researched content that challenges people's existing views.
