Sometimes when someone says "such and so" and you respond by going up one level: "fine, but on the other hand this", rather than taking the invitation to go yet another level up with "ah, but yet again that", they stubbornly revert to level zero: "No, you didn't understand my super super simple point! My point is: such and so. SUCH AND SO. OMG. *block*"
