The people who are potentially open to being allies are enough, and if you don't give them facts, many of them will assume you don't have any and will be far less likely to be allies.

You already see this with a substantial fraction of skeptics being generally hostile to trans causes, not because of hostility to trans people, but because of hostility to ungrounded ideology and trans advocacy being largely indistinguishable in many cases from ungrounded ideology.

It's extremely useful to have these sorts of things!
