The problem is that nobody seems to ever have time to address the fundamental central claim that patriarchy is actually fundamental. And it's really important whether it's true, because it's the difference between contemporary trends in feminism being helpful and them potentially even being harmful to those issues you highlight as problems.
Maybe I have a different explanation: demons! And we shouldn't be feminists; we should be exorcists.
For evidence that I'm correct, I can't point at wickedness in the world (actual wickedness) and say, "Well, look! It's like I said! Demons tempt people into sin! That's why there are stubbornly high levels of sexual harassment!"
That would be silly, because I haven't shown that demons are what is doing it. Maybe it's not demons. Maybe it's the patriarchy.
Or maybe it's not primarily "patriarchy" after all, either.
Anyway, I don't expect you personally to have time! But if you don't even know offhand of a source that addresses these sorts of things, you should consider whether you actually know for yourself that these things are correct, or whether you're instead trusting that others have got it right.
